Jane Dell
Each painting captures an imaginary moment of time. The work aims to create several layers of meaning which the viewer can slowly, upon reflection, unravel. Moon shapes, figures, fauna, animals and their environments interact with abstract elements that fuse a narrative of fantasy and reality inspired by the love of nature and concern about environmental issues.
The multi-media work on paper incorporates photo collage elements in an additive, seamlessly layered process with textured, expressionistic painted surfaces embedded on 300 lb. cold pressed handmade paper. The work on canvas use acrylic paint with glazing mediums layered with the paint.
